Always have a craving for JT's cheese breadsticks, signature Italian salad, and oven baked Super Sub! Nice neighborhood atmosphere inside that's family friendly and good for takeout too. Great service every time we go.

Man, this place is a well oiled machine. As busy as they were our pizzas came out fast and were delicious. Defiantly will order again soon.

Great pizza and a great environment. I would recommend going with a group to get the best deal for your money. All of their pizza choices are delicious but my favorite has been the barbecue pizza. Just delicious and a great restaurant.

Got delivery while staying in the area. Kind of pricey & pizza wasn't that great. We got a "new" pizza that they were featuring called the blackened Alfredo & I wish we hadn't. Pretty bland especially for $17! The delivery was quick, arrived in about 20 minutes.

JT'S is a first class place for all classes of people. I've received their delivery service, and I have dined in. I would not recommend ordering the Cascade pizza. We had it delivered once with a few other pizzas and the others all got consumed much faster. They have great pizza, good appetizers, and average pasta.

Our family has been ordering pizza here for about 25 years. Even now, when I come home to Michigan, we grab a delicious, and super comforting pizza here! This place just feels like home -- highly recommend.

This pizza is quite good, and reasonably priced. For a small sausage pizza and Salad was $16 including delivery. Crust was good and I really enjoyed the sausage. If you're staying at the Hilton by the airport they deliver quick and hot.

two reviews? come on grand rapidians! this is the best pizza in town, and can go toe to toe with many pies around this wonderful country. even better than 95% of the pizza I've had in new york (an outing at spumoni gardens is tough to beat). the charm of the original is long gone (hot, creepy lighting, small, pinball machines), but it's huge now, occupying the former majik market/dance studio space. the double cheese and sausage is as good as I remember it to be from my childhood, and there's plenty of other choices for your commie friends that don't want pizza. now there's a bar as well, so you don't have to sit on the curb with a cold 40 to enjoy a slice (although that IS a nice way to enjoy a slice). all in all, your #1 gr pie location. try to get a special to save some cash. on old 28th it's fancy now but still good double cheese is key

first of all ..... Pizza was sooooo good ! I mean really good. homemade - amazing crust. yummmm. Service was meh. But I'm a server so I'm a little picky. But I never want to have to ask for refills .... Especially with pizza. But they were busy ( it was a saturday night). He seemed like he was rushing to get us out the door - kind of annoying. Also they're dessert selection - not so good. but they are a bar so i get it but i realllly wanted some ooeeyy gooey dessert after that pizza. They had big TVs = good for the boys. Full service bar. small comfortable setting. All in all a good night.

Best pizza in town, bar none! Subs are good and, for this type of restaurant, a fantastic wine list. Biggest problem is so many little kids running around, especially in the bar! I guess thats the parents issue.

Holy delicious pizza, Batman! I called in a takeout order for lunch. The gentleman who answered the phone was polite and efficient. My order was to be ready in 15 minutes. Getting there was easy (turn right onto old 28th St. before it runs into Cascade, next door to First Wok). My pizza was ready when I arrived. The place is pretty small, and informal looking, but clean. It was lunchtime, and the dining room looked reasonably full. The pizza itself was delicious. I ordered a small with pepperoni and green olives, which came out to $9.01. The crust was of a hand-tossed thickness, slightly chewy, with a crisp exterior. The sauce was slightly sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. The cheese and toppings seemed of good quality. Bottom line, the pizza was totally delicious, and I would recommend it to anyone.

We were in town for the Warrior Dash and wanted something simple for dinner. I got on Yelp and found this Pizza joint. It is absolutely fabulous. The pizza was awesome (doesn't taste like frozen to me), the sub my husband ordered was pretty awesome also. We were very excited we ordered extra so we'd have leftovers for today! Service was spot on also. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful, but not over the top. We would most definitely recommend and if we are ever in the area, we'd make a point to go!

So bad I erased it from my memory. There's a reason all the review photos are from hotel rooms...locals must not make the same mistake twice!

I must be missing something. This was MAYBE a step up from frozen pizza.

During our quick stop in Grand Rapids we lucked up on finding this spot! The pizza was really good, not at all shy on the toppings, and the customer service was warm and welcoming. The Hawaiian pizza was really good.

I actually liked the old fashioned pizzeria atmosphere better than the food. My Italian salad was bland and forgettable. I got the pizza with minimal toppings to see how good it is without it being too busy. I just got ham and pepperoni on it. It was very good, but it didn't wow me. The crust could have been chewier. I didn't get anything else this first visit, so perhaps there are other items worth trying. I'm a pizza geek and I'll travel a long way for great pizza. Right now, my favorite pizza in Grand Rapids is at The Mitten microbrewery, but that's a mob scene after senior citizens' hours. I also like Pizzeria Grande in Rockford, but that's more of a take out place. I like that this isn't a chain place. They also have a few solid beers on tap and an attentive staff.

I was told this was the best pizza in the Grand Rapids area. After my experience, I would have to agree. Some of the best pizza I have ever had to be honest. The BBQ chicken flavor is what I went with and it was absolutely delicious. High quality chopped chicken atop handmade pizza crust, smothered in house BBQ sauce. The sauce isn't too sweet or too spicy, and has a nice smokiness to it. I can't wait to try the other dinner menu items beyond just pizza. Next time!

Good pizza and the pepperocini dip is great. Nice people, quick service but in comparison the prices are high.

The food and service are excellent here - very high quality. The Italian food is authentic and so delicious. This place would succeed in a bigger town (like Chicago) too. They attract all types of customers - from families to smaller groups at the bar. Their pizza is scrumptious - even as delivery/take out. Some other pizza places just aren't as good with delivery, this isn't the case here. Fabulous :)

Really 4.5 stars. Very friendly staff and good service. Tasty sauce, thin crust is ok but could be a little thinner and could be crispier. Sliced into wedges, it was rather limp when holding it. Other than that it is good. Bonus points of having shakers of peppers, cheese and oregano on the table. Extra bonus points for having Founders Pale Ale on draft. ( A local craft brew).

Definitely some good pizza! I had The Cascade which had chicken, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. It was very tasty but maybe just a tad bit dry. The service was great, and it only took 10-15 until the pizza was ready even though it was very busy.

Jt's pizza makes the best pizza I have ever eaten. They are so good to their customers, I wish I could give them more stars on their rating

I have liked JT's pizza for a few years but have never tried anything else there. I tried the vegetarian toasted sub and it was very good!! It's my new favorite thing! The rest of the Fam said the pizza was great as usual!

Been here twice now and have not been disappointed. Had pizza first time which had a nice crust and fresh toppings. Second go around I had the lasagna which came with a salad and had to take a leftover as it was a good sized serving (at a great price). Most notable is the friendly and attentive service.

My boyfriend and I went to JTs on 5/24/14 during the Memorial Day weekend. We arrived around 930 on a Saturday night, there was no wait, which was great! Most people had left for the holiday. We ordered the cheesy bread and chicken wings as apps, the wings he got this parmesean garlic butter to dip with, which was soooo good! We also dipped the bread in it, a superb decision! He was able to watch the basketball game, as there were many TVs. I ordered a specialty mixed drink, nice and strong! We also split a medium pizza (since we can't agree on toppings), and that was good as well. We had left over food we took back home. By far, I was the most happy with the cheesy bread. Highly recommend this place. Delightful man named Joe took care of us.

Good pizza. Really abundant toppings with great flavor. The pizza was ready in 15 minutes after phoning in the order!! Very fast. To my taste, the crust was a bit soft so when I order next time I'll ask for the pizza to be cooked well done in order to make the crust a bit more crispy.

The pizza stays the same, perfect. Can't wait to see the new expansion this spring. They make an awesome burger and they also have great craft beers on tap. Staff is extremely friendly. Sweet sticks are the bomb.

Yayyy, good gluten free pizza! Plus, my other family members loved their regular pizza, too. I do wish their selection of toppings were slightly larger, but I did appreciate that they do not skimp on toppings placed on their pizzas the way some other places do.

Phenomenal pizza. Got a Hawaiian with ham, pineapple, and mushrooms, but the group I was with reported similar reviews about a slice of pepperoni and a slice of cheese. Went back and got the meatball sub. The bread wasn't for me, but not enough to make them lose a star. And as always, serving Pepsi is definitely a plus.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
